Software set-up and compatibility

Requirements

• Windows 10 x64 or newer
• FHD screen (beware of the default zoom)
• .NET 8 desktop runtime, up to date (8.0.12) — CFC is a .NET8 application, so this element may have to be downloaded during installation if it is not already installed on the computer
  • Admin rights requested if not already installed
  • Requires an internet connection if not already installed
• Scale connection, to install the corresponding drivers
  • Admin rights may be requested
• +1 GB of free disk space

A serial port is necessary to communicate with most scales. As an alternative, a USB to Serial converter can be used. Administrator rights are required to install the converter drivers.

Installation

1. Get the installer using the provided download link.
2. Launch the installer. It will install .NET 8 (if required) and the application.
3. Send the displayed licence key to IFTS.
4. IFTS generates a licence file, which can then be imported in the software.

Administrator rights may be required for installation.

Remarks

• One installation per session: it is recommended to create a “machine session” to use the software.
• The licence is machine wide.
• The configuration is machine wide.

Support

IFTS can support any installation through a TeamViewer session.

Scales

The version of the software is compatible with several types of scales.

Scales are suggested based on the customer’s configuration requirements. In the event a new type of scales shall be added, a technical assessment may be needed.

The scale must be configured to communicate with a PC via RS-232 as follows:

This corresponds to the default settings of the scales when it is delivered. In case of a reset to factory settings, appropriate setting may be required.
